Important Updates to Product Labels
You may have noticed a few changes on your supplement or nutrition facts labels recently. Between 2016 and 2019, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) introduced new guidelines that bring more clarity to sugar and fiber content, increase the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of vitamin D, and detail several other important changes to the way products are labeled and how much of certain nutrients you need each day.
