Spring cleaning doesn’t only apply to your home - it applies to your body as well. We’ve rounded up a selection of spring detox recipes to help you clean out and refresh your system so you feel revitalized and energized as the weather warms up.
When you hear "detox," you may automatically think of juice cleanses or restrictive, super low calorie meal plans that are marketed as a weight loss cleanse. That’s not what we’re after here—we think it’s important to eat enough calories (including protein and carbohydrates) to keep your body functioning properly or your detox could do more harm than good. You can accomplish a natural cleanse while still eating delicious foods.
These recipes feature liver-and-gastrointestinal-nourishing foods with a variety of fruits, veggies and spices. So yes, you can do a body cleanse diet and still feel satisfied!
You may notice that this list doesn’t contain any smoothies. We put together an entirely separate list of green and detox smoothies for you because they are so popular.
